Community and Volunteer Involvement

Cornerstone collaborates with a variety of other entities, including Healthy Kids Express (St. Louis Children's Hospital), Head Start, St. Louis Centers for Hearing and Speech, Positive Support for Kids, St. Louis University (Micah House Project, School of Nursing), St. Louis Teachers’ Recycle Center, and Ready Readers. In 2007, hundreds of volunteers donated services to the Center. These hard-working supporters gave special attention to children in the classrooms, painted furniture, repaired library books, prepared classroom materials, participated in field trips, provided gardening and grounds keeping services, and assisted at developmental screenings.
