About Cornerstone's Closet
What is Cornerstone's Closet?
Cornerstone’s Closet is a free store open to Cornerstone families in need. At the store, we have a variety of useful items available for pick up, free of charge. These items range from clothing and shoes, to household and child care essentials, to toys and books, and more. All items in the store were generously donated to Cornerstone Center, and are either in new or lightly-used condition. Click here to go to the site and shop.
Who does Cornerstone's Closet Help?
We designed Cornerstone’s Closet in order to help alleviate the financial burdens of child care on members of our community. By establishing a free store full of useful, in-demand goods, we strive to help Cornerstone families in need.
How Can I Help?
As a free store, Cornerstone’s Closet relies on donations. At this time, we will accept household supplies and child care-related items. (We have paused collection of clothing items due to safety concerns amid the pandemic.) We are also looking for volunteers to help out with managing and organizing donations. If you’d like to help, please contact Ta’Lisha Franklin, Teacher and Family Resource Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (314) 865-5244 ex. 118.
How Does It Work?
Cornerstone’s Closet’s virtual site works just like a normal online store. Once you click on the link, you’ll be able to browse through the available items. Feel free to add things to your cart as you go to keep track of your order. However, when you’re done shopping, please don’t try to use the “Check Out” process on the site. Instead, please call the number provided to reach the main office of Cornerstone Center. There, someone will take down your order and arrange a time and date for you to pick up your items.
